Don't flatter yerselves Achill. Killala only had 10 men for 75 mins of the match, after a disgraceful decision by the ref. He determined the result. Yer keeper sud have been sent off which wud have balanced up the game!

disgraceful? one tackle from behind = yellow card + then the player in question MAULED the left back earning himself a second yellow!!!!
The keeper decision could have gone either way, player wasnt running at goal.... angled to the corner and covering player between goalie and goals.....
Anywho, count the sitters we missed.... plus 2 super saves from their keeper!

The result I can agree with. Some great goals were scored and many areas of the field were bossed but don't get carried away. this was a results of playin against 10 men for nearly the whole game. However I disagree with ur views on the sendin off. The first challenge was a yellow, fair enuf. But regarding the achill left-back gettin "mauled"- come on, get real. In no way do I condone rash or dangerous tackles, but the achill player was the recipient of a hard but fair challange by the Killala midfielder.the ball was in the air, his eyes were locked onto it and his determination and grit carried him thru the player as he won the ball. The achill defender was a little dazzed after but the Killala no.8 is built like a ****-house. Sudnt have even been a free. I mean if cards are bein handed out for honest hard challanges we are aswell to pack away the boots and pick up a basketball!
I'm not saying achill didn't deserve the win, they played well but this incident, which happened at 1-1 had a major impact on the result.

obviously i understand the sending off had an impact on the result. thats a given.
As regards the sending off you forget one minor, yet crucial, detail... the defender won the ball ...

I don't know what the left-back was preaching and I'm not sure how far away you were from the incident but the Killala player DID WIN the ball and I will say it again - the ref made a disgraceful decision!

no I actually wasn't. But I'm afraid I still don't agree with you! I really don't tink you did! And I'm not sayin this to save face.We can argue about this all day so I'm going to stop.
