Ballina v Charlestown match called off because of pitch but find that hard to believe as it was such a good evenin.hear there was a 21st in ballina that might have something to do with it.... its meant to be rescheduled for thursday evening.

I notice on the Snugboro web-site they have the Cross V Snugboro B McDonnell Cup Match scheduled for next Thursday (4th) at 14.30. Firstly is it confirmed for next Thursday? and secondly I'd guess the time should be 18.30?

Yeah we're okay this week! We've moved the match to Moyne Villas ground in Headford (same as for Swinford B). It's a lovely pitch, great surface, nice dressing rooms etc. I left a message on Steve Clarkes phone to tell him about the change of venue.

The "Thriller by the River"
Ballina Utd 5 - 5 Charlestown Athletic
Charlestown 5-1 down after 48 mins, poor defending and game rusty having not played since 9th may. But cant excuse realy poor finishing on our behalf and should have won the game by five more in the end. Missed penalty and lost count of 1 v 1's in the second half and ref was so poor that whoever shouted loudest got the decisions plus no notion off new off side rule. Still, happy with come back and lots to work on in the comming weeks if we are to mount a serious title challenge.
Finished 2-2 after full and extra time. Boro went 2-0 down and had to make a comeback as usual
Pitch was not nice at all. Very hard and ball bounced everywhere. Scrappy aul game really. Not a nice way for cross to go out but we are well experienced on penos! Good cross side not to be taked advantage of. Killed us in the air. Villa now in the semi. At least its home !!
