to the people who claim we have "sold our ground twice", do you actually comprehend what has happened because your quite far off the facts on that one. I would suggest looking into it properly before posting your ill informed rants.

as an aside, i hope we do hang the board from the floodlights for the mistakes they made and continue to make in the running of our club. With the demographic of our membership, all i can do is hope that they now see what our board have done.

im not going to educate you on it RH. Im not the one trying to post about it all the time. Change some of the words in your above statement and the position of other words and you'll be nearer the mark.

If you want me to educate you then just admit that you are not really sure of what youre talking about and ask me.

When you agreed sale of ground with o carrol you neglected to inform him that you already had recieved payment regarding sale of part of your ground to albion proprties this was upheld by high court decision which you appealed in order to offset paying costs ,you will lose your appeal at further great cost and then mr o carrol will have his day in court he will say his deal with you is fraudulent because you lied and you will have more costs to pay aswell as refunding him all money recieved in good fate,if thats not selling your ground twice what is.....not me who needs educating mate

"sale of part of the ground"

a very important word you left out of your earlier posts. Makes a big difference to the statement "selling your ground twice". Also makes a difference to our likelihood of negotiating a way through this and maybe also diminishing Carroll's likelihood to chase us for the money he has paid. Im not denying the severity of the situation just pointing out that it is not as straightforward as you initially represented.

Secondly, we have already faced one property developer in the courts, a decision our current board have decided to appeal (i know ). We dont currently face 2 property deveopers in Court. I'd argue that we just face a day in the Supreme Court, if that appeal ever goes ahead.

Anyway, glad your mates over on ultras forum were able to help you out.

Sure even if Bohs lose the Supreme Court you can always delay the inevetable a bit more and try to bring it to the European courts. Sure in the couple of years that'll take Bohs are bound to have reached the quarter finals of the Champions League and then sure they can pay it easily. No problemo.

this is the mind-numbingly boring sh1t i was referring to in my earlier posts. I dont mind having a debate or taking a ribbing or whatever but you do your arguments no favours posting this. Its not funny, its not original.

Did you come a little bit in your pants after you hit reply there, Jicked?

Nope, but I've had a nice little smirk to myself as I read comments from Bohs fans throughout the thread

Though isn't it the key part, given that it's required for accessing the rest of the ground ?

More importantly it's the key part of conflict... O'Carrolls had contracted to purchase all of the ground and funded Bohs with a few million on the basis that even if they couldn't get planning permission to re-develop the land they could keep that money.Secondly in the event that O'Carrolls did get PP then O'Carrolls were legally bound to pay approx €48million (inclusive of costs of building them a new stadium) to Bohs.

Albion lthen odged and were sucessful in court with their claim that they had an option to purchase one part of the ground. Bohs are now in the process of appealing that decision to the High court.... so if Bohs fail then (1) they incur more huge legal costs (2) O'Carrolls will be entitled to (a) claim back the few million plus interest that they have already advanced to Bohs (and Bohs have spent) and (b) sue Bohs for damages on account of Bohs having knowingly and falsely entered into a contract with them..... (3) If Bohs do win (and the weight of legal opinion says they won't) then they'll be grand.

So why wouldn't Bohs just make Albion an offer of say twice what was agreed on the bit they bought since the O'Carroll deal is worth so much more to them?

Seems the only safe course of action. It'll load them with more debt, but it'll guarantee the O'Carroll has no easy get out.

Alot of Bohs fans seem to have relocated to here alright

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

what exactly can we learn from the always-ultras ? how to go broke ? get relegated ? misuse govt grants ? look "forward" to part time football in yet another rented ground ?
    So much to learn

All this talk of changing people at the top of Bohs, does that include Gerry Cuffe ? could this also not have an impact on Bohs lending relationship with Zurich Bank considering he is the senior property lender in there and lead Zurich Bank to review its overdraft facility to Bohs.

Gerry Cuffe has already announced his intention to step down at the fortcoming AGM so it is unlikely that he will be part of the board going forward (although he could seek election to any post on the Board in the same way as any other qualified member). Bohs lending relationship with Zurich bank is presumably (by Irish banking standards) a professional one and therefore should not be dependent on any individual.
