Jim McGeough

Lads ye're help would be greatly appreciated.E-mail campaign is being set-up to try to get Ger O'Brien out and maybe find some way of getting Jimmy back in.It'll just take a second, just copy the message below, add your name and send it to: waterfordunited@hotmail.com

Gerry as a loyal supporter i am asking you for the dignity of the club to stand down and reinstate Jim Mcgeough as manager,he has brought unparrelled success to waterford not seen in the past 20 years, i fully understand the contribution you have made and i am grateful for that but for the good of the club ask you to stand down and not let this debacle get any uglier than it already is.

    Yours sincerely,

    Lads thanks for yere time

No worries .... i'll send it on in a while. I have 2-3 acc.s and i'll send it on from them all.

Jimmy is a legend and you do well with him in the ranks. Pity you are shooting yourselves in the foot now though.

I'm not trying to be smart here, but if this O'Brein character gets thousands of emails, won't he simply dismiss it as a "spam" campaign?
WUFC, (like lots of other clubs) don't have thousands of supporters. There are about 3,000 at the very most at games down there?
A public meeting at the ground, attracting ALL WUFC fans would have more authority surely?

To be honest .... i like this idea more.

You have good grounds now to call a meeting, and open it to the public. Probably be taken more seriously and would achieve a bit more.

From what I know the Waterford board are a bunch of tossers particularly this guy O'Brien.

I would say McGeogh didn't help himself during the year but the whole thing was handled in an appalaing manner and does not do the game and our image any good.

Despite what people think of Waterford ( our nearest rivals ) they have added a lot of spice to our season just gone and the trips down there were great crack.

I spend a lot of time on their BTID forum and there seems to be total unity against this guy ( normally you'd get some people defending the other side .....but not here ). Their club is in trouble and they need all the help they can get.

We'd miss 'em if they went wallop.............believe me.
