Crowd trouble at NI v Poland

One Polish fan seriously hurt according to Five live. One pub wrecked. This is all happening before game has taken place.

This was always going to happen. So much hype and hate being boiled up before this game that it was inevitable

Rubbish. It was the polish who started this trouble.

It kicked off on the Lisburn road too, polish fans coming down dressed head to toe in black with hoods up etc, just went to the first bar they found and beat all round them.

Was at the match and managed to avoid all the trouble.

Aye it's fine mate. Never worry.

A lot of people seem to like jumping on the "those damn NI fans" wagon any time something happens. There were a LOT of polish fans in Belfast today with no tickets to the match and just looking for trouble. It's to be expected when there are so many living here.

Like two home teams playing, sort of.

When does the Football Debate start?

Until then some Shock Northern Ireland Result; NI 3: 2 Polska

I know a few people who go to matches regulary, Artur played like a sh!t 'Keeper. How can they express that sentiment without cracking their hole laughing? Please provide a PC response?

Boruc was absolutely rubbish. Fans booed him from the very start (and theres nothing wrong with that) and it got to him. The second half especially when he was defending the Kop goal, I don't think he made a successful kick off the ground the entire half.

The third goal, didn't know wether to keep cheering or just start laughing.

Would McCourt or mcGinn have been booed if they played? Can't think of any other reason NI fans would boo Boruc

Every opposition goalkeeper gets booed. Nothing to do with who he plays for.

If it was Neil Alexander or whoever the hell the Rangers keeper is, he'd get booed aswell.

Puts him off. As is evident tonight.

Some keepers handle it (funnily enough its the rubbish ones that seem to handle it best, or maybe its just because they're so pish we don't notice) and the better keepers that are sometimes affected.

There is a incorrect image associated with NI fans thats unfortunate. I know that in the past the behaviour left a lot to be desired, but none of that rubbish goes on any more.

As for the "death threats", surely you don't mean the graffiti painted by teenagers on a wall? The same grafitti that residents from Sandy Row cleaned off themselves? Does that constitute as a death threat these days?

There hasn't been a keeper at Windsor yet that hasn't got booed by the way. It works, you should try it.

Anyway, saying no more, the whole subject is irrelevant to these forums.

Complete Rubbish BTW. I watch a fair bit of NI games and no keeper got anywhere near the abuse Boruc did

Boruc is an *******, as big an ******* as Gazza was. And what happened today definitely sits in my top 10 life events thusfar...sad, but probably true...also think fitba wouldn't be worth two sh*ts without characters like these to wind opposing fans up
