Wasn't he supposed to come back to play for us by the end of the season?
heard this morning that Oran Weldrick has signed for UCD as he is studying there for a masters next year

That was never concrete, just speculation on the part of Limerick fans. It's no surprise that Welderick has signed for UCD, I mentioned it here a few weeks ago and there's a thread on it on the UCD forum at the moment as well. He's already studying in UCD but started there too late to play this season apparently. So they got him to sign up with Pegasus in the Leinster Senior League to keep match fit basically. Good signing for them though, we all know how good he can be and he's a few years First Division experience under his belt as well.Originally posted by deise deserter

The ball is round and has many surprises.
Pity really, Oran can be a great player. Only when it suits him though, and he'll have to be managed with Kid Gloves. Himself and Noel O'Connor had some great pitch-battles,(equal blame-both very stubborn) which led him to not give his all at times and as a result we suffered because that season was a particularly bleak one. If Mahon can butter him up enough, UCD will get good mileage out of him. I personally believe he's too influenced by his old man, who displays many Adolf Hitler tendencies, to make him a really great player on a regular basis.
Haven't heard anything from our side yet (not much of a surprise there though!) - is he any good? Where does he play? Remember he played in Belfield a couple of years back but don't really remember anything in particular about him (apart from giving him general abuse for no reason...)
Central midfielder, or can play on the left. Very good passer of the ball, tackles and reads the game well, and when things are going right, is very good to have in your team. I have doubts about his attitude and temperament, and beware, you have been warned, his daddy, Dave, will attend as many games as he can, armed with megaphone and nazi outfit, doing the goose-step up and down the line shouting 'encouragement' at him.Something which I feel the lad could do without, but ....:
No reason?! He has a silly name!Originally posted by pineapple stu

We're not arrogant, we're just better.
He's also played right-full, right of midfield and up front for us. A versatile player no doubt.

Spot on about his dad. Talk about demoralising......
