problem is bayern in the process of having half the german team destroy half of them as well. if you are a young german performing well for a lesser club and bayern have u on their radar its best you keep your head down and ignore them, theyll eventually go away. failure to do so results in career suicide

What will Bayern do when they get them back to Germany, there is no way they are going to let Barca get away with that hammering.

I think you'll find they kinda did

Going for a Barca VS Man U final, as a Manu fan I'd like to say Man U to win but I think Barca will take it

    Barca - United final

John O'Shea to score the winner
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

    Chelsea to take Barca...

Messi was sh*te when he played against Man UTd, I think it was last year or the year before. Put him up against half decent defenders who don't fear him and he's usually pretty quiet. Terry if he's playing will put him in his back pocket for both legs, that's my prediction.

Chelsea to beat Barca, probably home and away.

Man U v Arsenal...Man U are going through a very bad spot now...Porto were a terrible team last night and Utd struggled to put them away. Utd's forwards are woeful this year.

I think it will probably be a pair of relatively boring draws going to extra time and penos in the second leg. Don't ask me to predict who will win the peno's, though it might be Arsenal.

will ye ever take your head out of the premier leagues arse and actually watch a bit of football. that is the most retarded point i ever seen, he was quiet one time so put him against any 'decent' defence and he will be quiet.

i do think chelsea will win though in a tight two games and then face arsenal in the final.

Against Utd, he was poncing about doing his tricks and showing off...he did nothing in both legs...he didn't set anyone up...he got the ball ran at a few defenders, they stuck their leg in and cleared it, he was annonymous in those games.

He isn't a patch on Ronaldo despite what some people claim.

But we will see against Chelsea, a real team. If he does the business then, I will shut up about him, if he doesn't do the business you should shut up about him, fair?

The Spanish League is not as good as the English League. Look at supposedly top Spanish teams, Real Madrid, Villareal, etc. The Top 4 English teams wiped the floor with them except for a negative Villareal in the group stages.

Playing Spanish opposition week in week out is one thing. Playing against a Top 4 English team is a different matter entirely.

    Jesus.

How many times have you actually seen him play? In last season's semi final against United he was the best attacking player on the pitch. The problem was that Barca were in their worst run of form of the season, and I believe they hadn't scored in over 5 games before United played them. The team was on a massive low, and Messi seemed to be attempting to spark some light into them to no avail.

As for Ronaldo being better than him, up until last year, the one thing he seemed to have on him was his amazing goalscoring record. Now Messi has added that to his repertoire too, whilst Ronaldo has waned. I'd like to see Ronaldo score a goal like this too:

It's arguable as to whether the Spanish League as a whole is worse than the English League. The English clubs always seem to do poorly in Europe, which suggests that other than the big four there isn't loads of quality about. Anyway, Ronaldo's record isn't exactly outstanding against big clubs, is it? For all of his goals I've yet to see him absolutely dominate many major games that he's played in.

I watched that game with Man Utd last year and Messi did nothing.

He picked up the ball and carried it into contact every time with Utd players who dealt with it easily. He is a complete one trick pony....take the ball, carry it under your feet, let them(usually a poor defender) committ themselves and then change direction. That's ok against a poor defender as most Spanish defenders are. not top English defenders.

If it's so simple to score goals like that against poor defenders, and Ronaldo is better than him, how come Ronaldo has yet to score a goal anywhere near as good as that (in terms of dribbling). The most comparable goal that Ronaldo has scored is against Fulham away - which was a good goal - but in that case the defenders were backing off a bit more and he didn't have to beat many players. Ronaldo goes on plenty of dribbles in games, yet he has never scored a goal anywhere near as good as that, and probably never will.
