With the strike in mind we decided to book a flight out to Milan early on Sunday morning - we were originally scheduled to go out on Monday evening and Easyjet to Bari early on Tuesday. The one way flight cost only €48 but its worth it for peace of mind. It will mean 2 days in Milan and an extra night 's accommodation. If the strike doesn't take place we just don't fly but can reclaim the taxes which are about €25.
If there is a strike there will not be a backlog - flights will be cancelled and people will have to re-book with no guarantee of flights the next day, Tuesday and missing out on connections etc........![]()
