€750,000 sponsorship and Fenn for Cork City

    By Bill George
CORK CITY last night announced the signing of Neale Fenn and new sponsorship contracts worth an accumulated €750,000 over four years.

Fenn, the 26-year-old former Spurs and Peterborough forward, joined Waterford mid-way through last season and scored five goals in the eircom League.

His mother was Margaret McCarthy from Bere Island, Co Cork. Fenn, who was born in Edmonton, London, recalled holidaying on the Island where he still has relatives.

    Thumbs up

Is that the biggest combined sponsorship deal in eL history?

185k a year is deadly as they say up these parts!

The one I was thinking of today was that Nissian could give some of our players "company" cars. Nissian would still own the car but the player gets the use of it. Could be the difference between signing a player and not signing a player. We might be able to match another clubs wages but throw in use of a car too.
    Oh no not them again

Not so sure it's such a good idea since Guinness are our Offical Beer Sponsor
Free pints and cars mightn't mix well...

Or give the Cork City Player of the Season a car? Wud be an additional attraction to sign for the club. If you leave however the car stays...
