Is it just me, or is there no article on Limerick FC at all in this weeks Post?
There is absolutely no mention of the Waterford game, not even in the fixtures columns. They then have the cheek to say in the editorial that the club "continues to find it almost impossible to motivate the sporting public"
Makes me glad that the foreigners they employ to deliver their rag dont make their way to my house.
No cos that arsewipe Donn was supposedly in London according to the Post for the Lions team announcement, just like hes supposedly at the Limerick matches. He's an illusion, he thinks he's there but he's not! Biggest home match of the season so far and not one mention, a disgrace. My bro told me a few lads in his school got some free tickets to tonights match. Good to see that, hopefully it'll make them want to see even more and we can increase our turnout. Unfortunately, i cant make it tonight, Im bloody gutted![]()

How can been in London be an excuse not to cover Limerick? I'm sure he has heard of the internet. Not rocket science to mail your column in.![]()

That arsewipe you refer to,was the only scribe in the town, that had anything positive to write about us in the last few years.Maybe, because the club is sponsered by the indo indicates that they have first call on all,if any, press releases issued. It may also come as a shock to you, that Donn is actually Employed by the post, therefore limited by space and importance of articles. While i know the waterford game is important, hardly measures up to 4 limerick men being lions.I think the scribe deserves better, keep up the good work donn.

Limerick FC take on Waterford United in a First Division clash in Jackman Park on Friday the 24th. Limerick will try and continue the good run of form under new manager Pat Scully which has seen them concede only one league goal in the last four league games. However in Waterford they face a team who put six in the Monaghan net last weekend, and Limerick will be weakened by the loss of Jamie Hughes on International duty with Ireland's underage team.
There you go, I wrote that in approximately 3 minutes without accessing any other sources whatsoever (note the vagueness about which team Hughes will be playing for, is it under-19s?).
Are you saying that Donn seriously does not have the time and resources needed (3 minutes and no resources) to submit that to the newspaper? Or are you saying that Limerick FC does not merit even an article of such brevity?

Are you refering to the crap he wrote a few weeks ago that started this thread! Maybe you missed that weeks issue.

nag nag nag nag.
I have not been here for a long time but on return it's more of the same.
Last time the Leader was the devil now its the post and Radio. Wait and see the Indo and Spin will incur your wrath yet!
Ever think of asking why you every media source eventually hurts your feelings.
Sometimes the truth hurts.
Folks, I've had occasion myself to wonder about the volume (or lack thereof), quality and particularily the tone of some of the coverage Limerick get.
But rather than running down what little coverage the club gets can I suggest something a little more pro-active. There are plenty here who provide detailed coverage of games. In my fading experience of dealing with the print media they appear to be getting taught two moves at journalism school these days ...copy and paste.
CC your match reports and musings to the desks of the relevant individuals. They might not use it verbatim (...they might either so don't be getting too uppity about wanting your article fee) but it might well help add colour and tone to the articles that go to print.

WTF? Is it your inability to make sense the reason you've not been on here for a while?

I've got to say you have not been missed. At least some of the WUMs display a sense of humour at times. And what's really worse, fans of a small football club being thin-skinned about media coverage or the appendix of local media displaying extraordinarily thin skin about fans of a small football club?![]()
The ball is round and has many surprises.
