Waterford announce deal with 3

Waterford United will boast a significant new supporter on its jerseys this season with the arrival of Ireland's fastest growing mobile network, 3, as the club's primary association for the coming year. The club is delighted to welcome the global telecommunications giant onboard in what is a major confidence boost for football in the South East. The agreement, which was announced at 3's flagship store on Dublin's Grafton Street today, will see the 3 logo on the front of all Waterford United shirts this season as well as on all club stationary, website and signage at the Regional Sports Centre.

Chief Executive of 3, Robert Finnegan, a native of Dunmore East, welcomed the partnership: '3 has a strong track record in supporting Irish sport and we hope this association will kick off another successful chapter in the history of this club. We look forward to supporting Waterford United in the season ahead.' 'This is a huge boost for the club!,' said Chairman Chris Everett in welcoming the announcement. '3 is a very successful and high profile company and we look forward to working closely with them to ensure a successful partnership. It is also a major vote of confidence in League of Ireland football and in the ongoing work of everybody at Waterford United who have worked so hard to keep league football alive in this area.'
