Yeah, but its the FAI who pull the strings with the lottery funding. Dept of Sport processes the applications but the FAI play a big part in the decisions. Tallaght got �1m for two years in a row to get it finished, thanks mainly to Delaney.

true but the fai are skint and no new grants can be awarded from the dept of sport for two years (only existing grants are being honoured) the only dept with money is education and thankfully there is a college attached to the markets field so imo the only way we get bucks is through them

I think gael that getting the VEC was always part of the plan,that night below in the Starand it was put forward by the FAI and others that this would be crucial for getting funding.
