With all this transfer speculation going on at the moment I thought I'd give one thread a slightly different angle.........step up on stage Mr Trevor Molloy.
Interview between Trevor Molloy and Brian Lennox / Pat Dolan.
Pat Dolan: "Well Trevor, you know I'm into astrology. Tell me what sign you were born under?"
Trevor Molloy: "I know for a fact it was 'Keep off the grass'. "
Dolan looks at Lennox.
PD: "I heard your family had some bad news recently. Your father and two brothers were layed off. But I believe they're now selling furniture"
TM: "Yeah, dats true. But unfortunately, daeeeve just the kitchen table and two lamps left to flog"
Lennox looks a bit concerned at Dolan.
Brian Lennox: "I'd just like to clear up one thing I heard about you causing trouble at Mass last week. Were you involved in some incident at Church last Sunday?"
TM: " 'Twas ridiculaaasss Guv. Dere I was, moindan' me oowen bizness, when me stomach staaaarted chuuurnin' after de drink de noight before. I ceeertainly didn' want ta puke all over da floor as I'd already been ate by me Ma for doin' dat a few weeks prior so I hurled into a nearby box. I don't know what dere issue was - sure wasn't it marked "for the sick" anyways.........bunch a muppet$ if ya ask me."
Pat Dolan: "OK Trevor. I think we've finished our questions. Tell me why would like to join Cork City?"
Trevor Molloy: " 'Cause I luv yere accent and dem fellas in de Shed are de Biz. What with givin' Reynolds all that slaggin'. None of us loike him in Duuuublen either."
Brian Lennox: "OK Trevor. Don't call us we'll call you"
Molloy leaves.
Pat and Brian discover their wallets are missing.
Pat Dolan ( runs out the door ): "Trevor......................."
Irish by birth,
Cork by the grace of God.

Whatever it was I am sure it was better than my plan to get out of this by pretending to be mad. I mean, who would have noticed another madman around here?
Very good.
great stuff
to the fanzine!
I think Molloy is one of the best players in the league.
Gary is probably looking forward to a few more "chats" with the maggot when he goes over to take a corner!
Temporary insanity I tells ya.Originally posted by patsh

Still though, will the Molloy rumour bear fruit or what. It keeps popping up. I have it from 5 different ppl, who have heard it frm seperate sources!
If at first you don't succeed, redefine success.
was in a taxi his ol man was driving the weekend of the pats away match/ireland vs albania match.. and he told me dolan was already on to trevor for next season at the cross...
coulda been proud father talk... but ya never know
i personnally would hate to see him in a city shirt........and how many forwards do we need????????? actually i'll be disgusted to see him in a cork city shirt
I wouldn't mind signing 'treva Mollooii'.He was one of the most sought after strickers in the league a few years back and he hasn't become crap overnight, but we do have a good few quality strikers/attacking midfielders.
Molloy would be behind Flynny, georgie, doyler and fenn for a forward spot, and we have J Nolan coming through now who will be fighting for more first team oppurtunities nest season.
'Treva' would be a good squad addition though imo.
Molloy is a scumbag. I'd hate to see him in a City shirt.
Like you say, Molloy would be behind all those players on current form. He'd still ask for a big enough wage though. So there is no good reason to signing him. If we do have Fenn in the bag the strikers positions are covered. And i'd rather see us give Nolan, Behan, or Colin a chance if we do run into injury problems.Originally posted by DolansWaistcoat

Thats seven strikers!
Theres no justification for signing another striker IMO..and certainly not Molloy.
A midfielder and a left back and we've had a good summer.

Just read this on the SRFCUltras website. A report in the Sun says, among other things that "Trevor Molloy is wanted by Cork".
He may be wanted by Dolan, but is he really wanted by Cork?
I would prefer to see any other player in Ireland, even Ratnolds or Connor, in a City jersey over that maggot.

I know there's a long long way to go before the start of next season, but we didn';t need two strikers last week and we won't need them next week. Dolans priority should be to sign at least one very good central midfielder, preferrably two.
Molloy wouldn't start at city at the moment, yet he would look for big wages, we don't need him, he would be a waste of money best spent elsewhere. Anyway, he's a whiney little git, I don't need to look at him crying to referrees in a city shirt.
If we have signed Fenn we have already signed one of the best midfielders in Ireland.......
.....Georgie will now be free to drop back and hurt teams from the centre of the park.
Oh no not them again
thats a great point SÓC.
one down one to go........
You're not wrong! Molloy's an excellent player, but his, ahem, "extracurricular activities" seem to have prevented him from reaching his potential. That'd be my worry.Originally posted by SÓCcfc

true, but do we have a player to play alongside him to allow him the freedom he'll need. that'd be my worryOriginally posted by SÓCcfc
