Yep. "I am the Resurrection" was indeed a milking excercise and a single that was unauthorised by the band. The drum track was altered and the instrumental cut for radio play. Sacrilege.

The short version of Fools Gold (4.15) is in fact the original single version from 1989. There's a subtle difference in the songs arrangement in comparison to the longer version also.

"One Love" and "Somethings Burning" received an unceremonial edit on the cash in "Complete Stone Roses" in '95.

The 1991 released "Turns Into Stone" is worth having as it includes many of the B-sides plus longer versions of One Love and Somethings Burning.

Yes, but on an album called The Complete Stone Roses it wasn't on!

Agreed the short version of IATR totally misses the point of the song , Absolute travesty

Just listened to "This is the One" sounds as ecstatic and life affirming as ever

I do. A lot of people have slagged it off but it does have some great tracks. 'Tears' is my all time favourite Stone Roses song...

Its a good album just too riff driven when compared to the grove quality of "The stone Roses". Its easy hear Squire's increasing dominant influence of alot of the songs.

I actually prefer it as an album to Stone Roses

Maybe because I've overplayed the debut throughout the years but my favourite Stone Roses tracks come from Second Coming

No but something along the lines of Ian Browns solo albums would of been what I would have liked

I cant think of one of his solo albums that comes remotely near the second coming.

Ian Brown's best solo album? For me, Golden Greats is a class album...

My brother just rang me with this fantastic news bout half an hour ago. Am so excited I could burst!!!! Oh please let them play Dublin or Belfast!!!

Oh my god, am gonna hyperventilate. Never got to see them when they were here before for one reason or another (one being heavily pregnant with my now 14 yr old son) and it has been my biggest let down in life. Been to see Ian almost everytime he has been here and regularly go see the Complete Stone Roses but cant wait for the real thing.

    Breathe.

There must be a very large amount of cash involved to get Brown & Squire to agree to it

Its not only the Mirror that was carrying the story but will be heartbroken and will kill someone if it is not true.

Yeah but this story come out every 5 years or so same with the Smiths. Ian Brown hated John Squire ever since mid nineties, I've heard things have chilled slightly between them in last few years but can't see Brown being able to stick with squire for a tour or time to record an album. Plus Brown seems to be happy enough doing his solo stuff
