Where is the ground exactly and where is the nearest (safest) parking place?
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
Take Tallaght exit of M50 and then go right. Keep going straight and you can't miss it. There's a car park at the ground but don't know how big it is. Plenty of parking in the Square across the road. I'd park on level 2 as level 3 can be a bit dodgy, although I haven't been there in years admitedly.

The shopping centre is open til 9, the car park is open 24 hours.Originally Posted by sligoman
There's a cinema there so I'd say it's open late. I never remember any barriers in the car park either but as I said it's been ages since I've been there.
Hotel car park across the road would actually be better to park in though.
It should be no bother parking in the square. Carpark outside the cinema is the closest to the ground, there's a taxi rank there too so there's always people around. If you park in one of the quieter areas I'd make sure to take down any sligo pendants or anything, there'll always be a few idiots around and no point tempting them. The car park behing the hotel should be open too, it's not that big though and they might have attendants moving people on if they're not there for shopping (it's the car park for Woodies and Lidl too).
If you're coming in the Naas rd (which you probably aren't) the Red Cow luas "park n go" costs €4 for the day

Another option is to park around at the Luas stop side of the square. Its at level two and you'll have to walk around the square to get up to the ground but as its on the side of tesco and that opens late (to midnight or 24 hours, I'm not sure- it changed recently) and the Luas runs until well after midnight.
EDIT; just checked, Tesco is open until 12. Either way you were fine

Is there any bars nearby?
Manager: Fergal, have you your boots with ya?
Fergal: Ya, I have them here.
Manager: Ah good stuff, well give them to this man so, he forgot his!
The bars at the Plaza hotel are probably nearest

There is no parking for away fans at the stadium, Id expect the Maldon car park to be choc-a-bloc unless you get there about 4. You could try parking at the Square or the Plaza hotel.
Traffic is heavy near the stadium on Friday evenings normally and could be mental but loadza people trying to park for the game.
Id strongly recommend any Sligo or Rovers fans to leave your car in the Luas Park and Ride at the Red Cow and get the tram up to the stadium. Tram comes every 5 mins and will take about 10 minutes to get up. Id bet that this is the most hastle free way to do it.

On the way back from the ground, trams leave Tallaght every 20 minutes after 10pm on weeknights.
