306 (officially) at Limerick v Monaghan tonight.

Lovely spring evening (I may even have got sunburnt), new manger, Pat bloody Scully no less, taking charge of his first home game and the rugger didn't kick off till 45 mins after the final whistle at Jackman. I even got home in time for it. No damn excuses.... 306!!!
Btw I hate the scousers so I wouldn't be watching them anyway.

At a very rough estimate I'd say 200, maybe 250 at UCD v Kildare, but I wasn't focused on taking in how many were there. Do we still do official figures?

Bray v St Pats 1500

how can a reporter estimate the size of the crowd by sitting in one stand, which means he can only see one stand clearly? defo more than that....

got official att for Drogs v Bray and its a pathetic 900

Estimates were badly out, possibly because it was lashing rain and the crowds seemed to be packed under the roof. obviously not tho!!

Est for Drogs v Bohs and Rovers. Prob 1,500ish for both games. crowds are defo down a good bit this season. Seems ticket prices are a big issue from talking to different fans. Cant be the football anyway, as we're playing smashing stuff!

one of the posters on our forum who shall remain nameless rang me friday night asking me what time will I be up at the match at? I said to him what are you on about and he said Ltfc Waterford match. As it turns out he was driving up from cork to waterford and was in Dungarvan and I had to tell him that Waterford had switched to saturday nights.

There wasnt too many extra that came up from longford last night it would have being the same for a friday night..which was disappointing.

bit surprised there was a bigger turnout in athlone than our game..

He is providing a guess at the crowd. Until all clubs start announcing attendances, it is about all he can do. The secrecy behind attendances and clubs' failure to announce them is startling.

I don�t understand the secret either. The LOI have significantly higher crowds than the Irish League, yet we publish our rather embarrassing attendances.

But this is the only way you can really judge what way the trend is going.

Poor form by Bohs on Friday.

Half the away fans put on the open terrace when raining. Then they were mo ved to the Jodi before Bohs stopped all away fans from getting food at half time. Never seen a single incident between home & away fans in the Jodi so Bohs decision had no merit. Not exactly a way of boosting attendances.

And the worst part was that they only moved you from the Connaught Street side because they'd just sold it to a bloke down the pub.

Plus gate receipts are untaxed in the south, whilst taxed in the north, so even less reason for the secrecy down there.

The Welsh Premier League also publish their attendnaces, despite them being woeful (low hundreds in the main).

It's just the usual minnowism of not letting on at how bad the attendances are. The FAI should mandate that official figures be published by clubs. Was anything like this suggested at the fans' forum ?
