    Sadly, it's not.

Yes he can. I was assuming you're just not bothering to read his posts carefully rather than just unable to read.

Reckon that's close alright WexCar. A bit disappointing maybe for the first home game and a local derby, but what an atrocious night! You wouldn't put a cat who was actually really a bit of a **** and deserved everything it got out in it.

Agreed - that was my own guesstimate, before Magicme texted me the 'official' figure.

I thought that sounded a bit high but I'll avoid the usual away fan in Belfield, 100 there, mostly away fans line.

dont know where extratime.ie got those attendance figures as there was none announced last night (first time in years), but the attendance was more like 1800-1900 IMHO.

While still making usual away fans line

The stand holds 800 was aproximately 3/4 full and there is room for more fans standing down to the left. I thought it was around the 600 mark myself.

Of course. We definitely outnumbered you.

Fair enough. I was thinking 500 or so, but it's hard to know what the far end looks like. I think there were no more than 5 or 10 people on the terrace beside the stand BTW.

Be careful now, remember the old Belfield Park perimeter.

That's the official attendance alright however there was at least a couple of hundred standing on the steps and walkways in the Ultras end. It certainly wasn't one man to a seat in that half of the stand anyway yet all the seats down the other end were full too.

There were some empty seats in the stand in the last 5 minutes or so anyway, just caught the end of the game in the bar after our game. They might have been the people in the steps, I assume few enough left early.

I felt it was definitely over sold by a few hundred. I looked back on it on the television and there are very few spare seats anywhere, despite the fact the steps were filled with people standing in the first 3 sections. It was absolutely jammed in.

I'd imagine they sold more season tickets than they realised, the sales were very suddenly suspended on Sunday or Monday with a message saying they would resume later in the week when a full count had been done, this very quickly changed to game sold out and season ticket sales suspended until next Wednesday.
