Oh you mean like when we brought more fans than Rovers to your 'home' match in Tolka last year, Short memories

I love the way Shams fans seem to have forgotten what sort of crowds they were getting as recently as last season...
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.

You could be right on that, that would suit better for accomodating away crowd.
I also think they will be finishing the east stand up, the ends are not done yet.

I'm guessing it may reduce quite a bit next season with UCD and SP there now with the loss of ourselves.
Cobh and Harps weren't exactly propping up the attendances either. The fact of the matter is, attendances were down on average over the whole league, and only Rovers' move to Tallaght kept it from looking like a crisis.

Sure you're only down twice a year tops.
The ball is round and has many surprises.

Sadly, I confidently predict that PD attendances next season will show a serious drop.

    Why?

Every clubs situation is different, hard to predict imo.

Cork's average should be well down, and Fingal + UCD are likely to make for much lower average than Derry + Bray. Everyone else could go either way, but on balance, I'd be surprised if it's not down. The league average will probably be down too, though not so much.

Yeah but what if Corks situation improves before next season ?

Too much pessimism around the air, not doing the league any good, it's not just with the fans but with all the stakeholders, we all need to sit down and chat....

    Elementary my dear Riddicule.

We've swopped Fingal and UCD for City and Bray.

Ergo - bar a major miracle, crowds will most probably go down.

Yep, but of course, the Premier Division average is irrelevant in the greater scheme of things. If the league average is down even though everyone's crowds are up, then that's good.

A more meaningful prediction would be that I reckon more than half of the clubs in the league will show drops in attendances, and that the overall league average will be down.

I would have though that they would have put the new stand on the opposite end, the shopping centre end, very spacious down there and doesnt look the best with a "field" behind the goals!

Exact same space behind both goals. The next stand will be at the shopping center end.
