Well thats bullsh!t because if you watched the match you could tell there was easily 4,500 people there, the paper never gets it right with LOI attendances either, and being 1,000 off is embarassing, just goes to show that they probably didnt even watch it. And besides, by yesterday afternoon there was about 4300 tickets sold.

Irish mail reported gate receipts of eur41,000 for Sligo v Wat`d.

Any idea of how many were at the game today?
You've got no fans.
Dont think it was announced but i would guess around 1200. Bray had around 250
http://www.independent.ie/sport/socc...-1924338.html?THE fans stayed away from Morton Stadium yesterday and Bray Wanderers didn't show up for 45 minutes either.
Before a crowd of fewer than 900, it was all too easy for Sporting Fingal to book their ticket to Irish football's biggest day in only their second year of existence.

With no disrespect to Sligo, we are on target for the lowest cup final attendance in the history of the competition.
I think the current low is set at 7,000 for the 2nd replay with Bray v Finn Harps in 1999.
I cant see this years figure exceeding that, maybe Sligo will bring 5,000, but after that its anyones guess.

I'd say the Tallaght effect will bring in a few floaters from the area and there's always plenty of other loi fans there.
4,000- Sligo
1,000- Fingal
1,000- LOI Fans
1,000+- Floaters
So....if my calclations are correct, I think it'll have around 7,000. They definately should put in additional seating anyway.
(As for the game yesterday, the stand was quite close to capacity, let's say 750. Adding in for Bray fans and others scattered around the ground I'd say it just reached the 1,000 mark)

“Crikey, at Manchester City all we get is an orange and a cup of tea,"
I dont think you are too far off with that. Id say we can get 1500 or so with a good amount of those seeing fingal for the first time.
As for the crowd last night. We hit 1000 mark alright. Stand was basically full (stand holds 800) and at least 2 to 3 hundred bray on the far side.
Whats that supposed to prove. Its his guess, not fact
Keep trying though.
But you are also guessing...no?
You are arguing the difference of 100 or so which is hard enough. What are the facts?
Just like Wednesday gone you try to belittle a post without giving the facts. When I asked about a sub 100 attendance you went off on one. The attendance was 201. 100 more seems to be your tipping point
