Thats hilarious. I didnt say anything about old or new regimes. I dont really care. It was simply a joke that didnt even require an answer.

Did I mention Harps attendance was 431 on Friday night, it was against Longford and I counted them all one by one by walking around the ground.

Where the mistake was made was, it actually wasnt me who mentioned wumming so maybe you and he can learn to read also.
He didn't accuse you, or anyone else, of wumming. You claimed that he did, quoting a specific post you misinterpreted. He may have screwed up too, but that doesn't alter my point in the slightest: you misread his post.

But kudos, the defences, 'But he did it too!' and "No, you [insult]!" bring back fond memories of my childhood.

    Relax ffs

I know I miss read it which is why i edited it as soon as i seen my mistake(which is what i was doing just as you posted your comment).
I did mention it was now edited in my post.

I guess you have never missread a post on here either.

If you had taken the time to read the previous before blazing in to the defense of your chum you might have noticed why there was confusion from both of us in the first place. Plus the comments about learning to read are not warranted which is why i replied with similar.

Any chance of opening a thread purely for the posting of attendance figures?

Yeah I was thinking could we not do this like the POTM thing where you post attendence figures in one thread and discuss them in another? Its kind of hard to keep track of figures with all the arguing.

Was tried last year, I think. The discussion thread became the attendances thread. I might just start deleting/moving non-attendance stuff.

About 120 at Mervue Harps last night.

Hate to say it, but you have to wonder what business they have in the league. In their first season when there should be momentum they have no support.

10/10 though for the big laugh at about 44 minutes. "Stewards to half time positions please".

    How we laughed.

Incidentally, that figure was by 'manual' count.

Very feckin weird the whole experience of being at a game like that, not like LOI football at all.

+1. Now that the person who keeps track of things is a mod for the LOI forum it shouldn't be a problem.

Possibly our lowest of the season, what a stupid idea changing to a Sat night for this one !

Granted Cork had less than 100, but a shocking crowd all the same.
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), only Irish club to win a game / points in Europa League Group Stage (2016).

We had no choice, it had to happen on the Saturday. Saturday football just doesn't work for us.

Fear of incurring the wrath of fans of the proverbial 'smaller clubs' aside, I would agree with you that it's hard to know/see what Mervue bring to the league.

Yes - they're there on merit. But they play in a small city that already has a long-established LOI team, and they don't even have the decency to play in different colours than Galway !

What a rubbish derby Mervue vs Galway would be if we ever got one. Both sets of fans in their home ground dressed in maroon and singing for 'United'. United indeed - crazy stuff....

If only we could get Cobh or Kilkenny back....
