Would take a guess and say a little or under or a little over 2000 in the Showgrounds tonight.

There was a lot of Derry fans, over 500 easy.

BTW, we weren't really allocated enough seats. I had stand in the aisle as there was no-where else to go.

About 300 fans mentioned on yer forum.

Plenty of room behind the goal for ye too, you didn't have to sit.

Think it was more than that though.

Behind the goal isn't really ideal, it's uncovered.

Do ye's normally use that whole stand? It was just rather cramped. Not a massive issue really mind, no safety issue.

Why mention the 130 kids? what has that got to do with anything, they are still in attendance.

100 Athlone fans ? Ye, of course there was.

You had about 10 lads singing and id say another 20 or so adults around the stand
Dont you just love this league

Well I think whats being implied is that there won't be 130 of those kids at your next home game, so that attendance is very worrying, especially as you've hit form again recently, since we beat you.
Lets redefine what it means to heal

Mentioned the kids as some clubs dont include free entries in their attendances

Bus of 22 about 30 sitting round them and the rest not sitting in the away section. There were away fans sitting in the section where the kids were

Shocking attendance up in Ballybofey last night. Would say no more than 300 with ~100 Shels fans.

I was sitting beside those away fans in our section. There was 8. Please dont exaggerate the kids bit either the figure you mentioned is not true.
Can we stop the pettiness now. Its a bit stupid for one badly supported club to slag another badly supported club about attendances.

You're laughing at their amount of fans when yourselves bring about 30 to Tolka?

If you had bothered to read the whole post then you would have seen that it was humours dig at the claim that they had over a 100 fans at the match.
Im not botherd wether they had 5 or 500 at the match just respect to those who traveled and put right to an inflated claim. Its no big deal.

The reason that not many Fingal fans go to tolka is that they dont want to pay €15 to a club who still think they are big time.
Calm down shels, its only light banter.

Ok that number the free list then. On health and safety grounds every kid that is invited to a game is allowed bring in an adult to supervise them even in Cup games when the gate is shared.

Everyone on here knows who I am and I have no reason to give wrong figures. I think we are lucky have the crowds we are getting considering how long we are in the depth of the First Division

Look forward to seeing the travelling fans in "The Woollen" next Saturday

How would they know? They've only been around since Shels were in the lower league.

In a very tough field, I reckon this is the most rubbish "excuse" yet for people being lazy

And I think we are lucky to have the second highest crowds in the league considering we are only a year and a half old.

There wont be many away fans. I still think its quite sad how you are having a pop at our crowds when we are both badly supported in general. I guess its sour grapes over the defeat. Childish really.

How would they know ? Ye, our fans just found the eircom league after Sporting Fingal was formed and its the first we heard of Shelbourne.

Charging Premier division admission prices for first division games is a disgrace. They should wait until they are promoted first
