one sligo fan says 150, in reality over 350 there .

Easy win for Rovers against a poor team.

If we can end the season with 2,000 as our lowest crowd, i would be very happy.
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), only Irish club to win a game / points in Europa League Group Stage (2016).

I was talking to one of the lads who was at it and he said he didn't see any other Galway fans there!!!

Our away support is the worst in the Division - that said ourselves, Sligo, Cork and Derry have a much tougher job than all the other clubs to get decent away support week in week out with the distances we have to travel.
I phoned the speaking clock to hear a voice speak, it said - "At the tone you will be very much alone"

There was about 6 on the uncovered terracing and then another 5 sitting at the bottom of the stand designated for away fans! Trust me, I was very bored at times so I counted!

There could have been anything between 11-50 Galway United supporters at Oriel Park. Anyone with any cop-on would have keeping a very low profile.

Lets face it, after "Maxigate", the charm offensive by Dundalk supporters at Terryland, and Connors "attack all outsiders" article, United fans were hardly going to head over to the Shed with full colours to swop scarves !

They where hardly guna go into the Dundalk section and cheer if Galway scored where they? And I think upon buying a ticket at the ticket booth the accents would have given them away! There is terracing to the left of the stand for away fans and theres a section cordoned off at the bottom of the stand for away fans there where 6 people sitting at the bottom of it and either 4-5 on the terracing, 1 was a woman who was standing over by the bar smoking area on her own so it was kinda hard to tell if she was a local or a westerner!

    I refute this.
You are tarnishing all dundalk supporters with the same brush. if for arguements sake there was a galway supporter sitting beside me i would of welcomed him to the ground had a chat during the game along with a bit of banter and shook his hand at the end & wished him a safe journey home. Yes we do have *****s who ruin the name of the club but our probems are no worse than any other club.

I accept your point that 99% of Dundalk supporters are decent people.
And that 99% of Galway United supporters don't go to away matches !

Crowds down 15%. That has to be hurting budgets around the league.

How far down did the crowds go from week ten to the end of season on average?

And if you know the % for that, you could make a rough estimate on how this seasons attendances could end.

    (I hope I've explained what I mean).

EDIT: I've worked out the answer. Going by the drop last year from week 10 to end of the season, the % was 25.61%. So 25.61% drop of attendances from now (1284) will result in crowds falling to 956.

Obviously this isn't going to be 100% accurate and probably not close. Just using that years drop from week 10 to end of the season gives this figure.

    Official Pat's attendances:

    Galway: 2225
    Dundalk :2223
Derry: 1217 (midweek, ****ing rain on CL night)
    Drogheda: 1498
Cork: 1175 (moved to saturday for tv)

    Average: 1668

Alright for most (and I've given excuses for the worse ones!).

EA game against Rovers was 1200.

Those crowds have held up well considering the dismal home form.
