Celtic and their fans. Great atmosphere for Europe but I cant stand the sight of Tri-colours at Celtic Park bacause they have Irish connections. Get over it. You dont see Vasco Da Gama of Brazil or Newll's Old Boys in Argentina hanging up English flags.

Being "over Irish" (if that makes sense) eg I play football over in America and one of my team mates instantly raises his voice in conversation whenever we enter a shop etc so people can hear he has an accent. Drives me crazy.

Peas - I just dont rate them

AC Milan fans have been known to wave St George's cross, they were founded by an Englishman

Horne and Corden's sketch show. Truly vile. Comedy at it's lowest. They're all over tv and billboards over here advertising their latest film. I wish to God, they'd both p!ss off.

Self loathing. Us irish are supposed to enjoy it but it makes me feel sh1tty.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Like it might be a sunny day, but if your ice-cream melts all over your hands and gets your fingers all sticky and subsequently in your stricken state you rub your hands on your clothes and head and they in turn become undesirably messy, then you're not really all that happy; or at least, not as happy as one might reasonably expect given the occasion of the Sun presenting itself to you.

But all that said, I find it strange that anyone doesn't like a day where everyone's only concern is to get a beautiful, carefree drunk? Surely, as days go, and especially Drinking Days, that is one of the best starting points you could possibly hope for? -probably gently leading to the sweetest flavour of drunk you can get?

edit: Oddly enough given the subject matter of the post, the day that's in it and the late hour, I actually haven't been drinking - the first time on Patrick's Day for a long time. Great memories of previous years though. Admittedly I'd be inclined to say I've had a rubbish day today (for reasons extraneous to Patrick's Day of itself), but I'd never be inclined to say the Day itself is rubbish, nor can I understand how anyone might think it is. I await enlightenment.

Seconded. Plus, I was over in England for the last four days (long weekend because of the bank holiday) and enjoyed reminding people I had a bank holiday on the Tuesday.

There's a George's Cross in their crest, so they're technically waving a bit of their crest. There's no tricolour in the Celtic crest (I think).

The City of Milan flag is the flag St. Ambrose, which is the exact same as the St. George's cross, so I'd imagine that might be what the Milan fans wave.
