Champions!
To claim the dublin clubs are running scared of Cork is a bit extreme. Fenn is a good player but if City are to compete then you will need to sign two TOP QUALITY midfielders. This thread on the Bohs MB may interest some of you .....Originally posted by SÓCcfc
Lads there is no solid facts out yet, we havnt even officially signed Fenn yet.
As for the "reported" wages he's going to be on
Lennox is no fool, he didnt amass his fortune by making hasty or silly business deals.
One thing is certain, look at all their message boards, the Jackeens are running scared of the Rebel Army and the impact we'll have next season.

Bohs have financial issues which we are sorting out, hopefully once and for all, but we wont be making any big name signings, because we dont need to.
We have the guts of a championship winning squad with the very best the league as to offer in the likes of Crowe, Hunt and Hawkins.
Cork have a decent keeper, Coughlan is a super centre half, the lad Murray looked useful the few times I have seen him and up front Cork have O'Flynn and O'Callaghan who are up there with Crowe and Jason Byrne.
Cork are seriously lacking in the centre of the park and unless Dolan gets a top quality central midfielder then I dont see Cork challenging over a 36 game season.
new club sponsor!!Originally posted by corkcityfan1
and a few more things for the club to reveal apparently!

Probably be revealing the clubs new jersey! Its probably on at Guiness house so i doubt we'll be changing sponsor!
we have to change club sponsor as alcohol firms cannot sponsor jerseys anymore
i think it doesOriginally posted by corkcityfan1
I dont think that ban on alcohol sponsors extends to football jersys?
so do i and i think on tuesday we might see a new club sponsor be announced, with guinness staying on as less prominant sponsors
In connection to the new sponsor, i was talking to one of the players recently about how poor the media coverage of the El is, and he then said that he thought that Red FM were going to be playing, and i quote 'a bigger part' in supporting the club. New shirt sponsors possibly? As long as Oisin Langan isnt involved any more, i'll be happy.
He also mentioned something about live coverage of games, but he couldn't confirm that. Roll on Tuesday-I've got the day off school, so i'll be on here asap. Fenn, Beesley and Frost look likely to sign. Is anyone going along?I assume 451 will be, and is it too much to ask that you'd get some piccies for us exiles?

Think whoever the new sponsor is, the club needs to raise it's media profile. Get rid of Spillage and have someone who actually watched the game do a proper match report.
Bang on. In football nowadays, marketing is half the battle. For example, Man Utd have more money than Arsenal because they sell more stuff, therefore can buy better players. This is beacuse their marketing is good, whereas Arsenal's isn't.Originally posted by evan_h

It should be a realistic aim to be selling City scarves and pennants as well as Shirts in every sports shop in the county. It could be done. The club shoul also do a market research survey to see whether people would buy other bits of merchandise, like rings, etc. so they can tell whether it makes financial sense to sell them.
Selling City stuff in sports shop all over the country.
Get a grip man could you imagine going into a shop in Mayo or Wexford or one of the other ickle 'soccer' counties and seeing City jerseys lined up alongside the manure, assenal and harchester united jerseys.
Who knows what could happen rangers stuff in the Celtic shops?

Have you filled in yours ??
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
Read again- i said COUNTY. Meaning CORK. I thinks thats a good idea, don't you?Originally posted by DolansWaistcoat

Realism people. How are city going to convince Hunt to leave Bohs & also pay a transfer fee for him???Originally posted by evan_h

Sorry Jofyisgod,thought it said ''country''.![]()
What harm,eh?![]()
Anyway i've been to Vancouver,Canada and seen Ireland jerseys for sale in the sports shops.Cost about 120 canadian bucks though, but worth every penny just to say you bought your irish jersey 7000 miles from home.
Whats the story with Nissan,is it true.Vrrrmm Vrrrmm.![]()
Give us loads of money,please![]()
No bother DW.
Nissan would be quite good again. It's going to be very strange unveiling a new sponsor at our old ones HQ!
Guinness will stay be playing a major part though, i suppose. Hopefully Nissan will help more that Guinness did too.
Their logo should look fairly nifty on the jersey.
Think you're dead right there. It would really boost our profile.Originally posted by patsh
I think they should seriously consider opening up a city centre shop. City merchandise alone would not keep it going, but no harm to make some money from barstoolers wanting to show their undying allegiance to "Spurs", Sunderland and such like.
