Thought McGovern was in the bag anyway, with the "loan" only because he couldn't sign for another eL club in the same season or some stupid rule like that.....

yeah that was in an interview he did before the cup final, having the same back 5 two seasons in a row would be a great asset to the club, just bring darragh round the back and put a bullet in him and sign a decent midfielder and i'll be happy, martyn from derry would be ideal, he scores from midfield as well as gettin the tackles in too

The club are being very informative, hope they are not trying to flog the text service... , It's nice to be kept informed but there is some lad on the Shels Forum claiming Barry is signing with them.

Ah sure you'll always have rumours..Barry had agreed a new deal weeks ago so i cant see him leaving. I heard he bought about ten Longford jerseys recently for all his family. Doesn't seem like the actions of someone planning on signing for someone else.Would be nice to know where the text service gets their information alright, must be from some of the reporters that Alan talks to regularly..Garry Doyle or someone like that

I was under the pretense that the text service information was provided by LTFC, and we got a slice of the money...

The town wouldn't advertuise it if it wasn't official...

well said xlex, we had a debate about this before and the price of the texts, i would stop getting them if the texts were not fact from the club, amazing that they had ger robinson as the scorer of the goal in the shels game and so did aertel, any link there i wonder ????

Well im told they dont ask the club for any info unless its through Alan. But we do get a very small amount off them every quarter apparently..Seemingly the last amount was 34 euro

Well the only two people that know the ins and outs of players situations are Alan and Jim Hanley so maybe its coming from them, more than likely its from Alan..i dont know for sure though
