I wouldn't put any money on Harps until a few games into the season, so many players in the squad without LOI experience.
Oops meant to say Harps, cheers.

Sweating yet, Raheny? 7 points behind after 3 games...

Hopefully the Youths can still come good.

Not worried one bit. Youths have played 3 of the best sides, Shels, Fingal and WUFC while Athlone have played thrash.

I'm not into Ante post betting, especially @ evens but I can't resist this one and it's the biggest Ante post bet I've ever placed. This is my nap for the League of Ireland season.

Have also placed a small EW bet on Jay O'Shea for top scorer @ 33/1. He managed to get 8 last season with a struggling Galway side so hopefully he can bag a few more next time round. The only downside though is that he could be snapped up in the summer by a club across the water.

    Season Bets:

3pts on Wexford to bt Athlone in a Season Match Bet @ Evens (Hills)

    0.25pts EW on J. O'Shea for Top Scorer @ 33/1 (Hacketts)
Wexford 20pts clear with 7 games each to play, they meet this Saturday

I misunderstood that one at the time, taking it to mean that Wexford would win one of their three games against Athlone. That would probably have been a gimme too though!

Can't believe it was so easy and them having Athlone @ 8/11

The other season bets they had were, Rovers V Pats and UCD -V- Limerick.

Wexford 20 pts ahead now with 5 games to play. Was just onto William Hill support asking when I'd have the money in my online account, and they said not until the final games of the season have been played.
Don't understand why this is, surely they can just go to the LOI site and see the official table?

They'd have to have done something seriously bad to have that many points deducted!!!

I was considering backing Pat's in a match bet against Rovers at the start of the season!

It is the way that Hill settle the bets in their computer system. All results of LOI Antepost will be entered together and then the system settles the bets.
Their system has a start and end date for the bet in question and bets wont settle until then

Its the same with most bookies. I had a few losing outright FAI cup bets with Ladbrokes but they still show as open bets on my online account.

That's slightly different as there's no winner of the FAI Cup yet.

If your bet has won it's in the bookies' interests to pay you so that you can give the money back to them!

If you keep pestering Hills there's no real reason that they shouldn't pay you.

Got in touch with them via their live chat and was told they need to wait for the official result. I told them that Athlone couldn't catch them but was told to bear with them

Gave me the same 'season's end' line as before, when I explained that the regular season has ended, the girl said she'd forwarded it on to the settlers to see if it could be settled sooner. I should get a mail when it's settled.
