    Possible Friendlies

Do you think the French might fancy us for a warm up before their England game in the summer?

Would well fancy a trip to Paris - reckon we'd bring thousands to the stade de France?

I thinks that's the sort of oppo we need to go for. Please no more Canada type opposition - they are literally just no win games for us.

I'd want the new boys to have a couple more games each in the green first before we take on France or similar. I hope Brian Kerr will look to arrange progressively harder games with an endpoint of such a friendly in mind, probably just before Euro 2004 starts next June.

For the next fixture, how does a country like Croatia or Denmark sound in the above context?

Paddy makes a good point - the Canada game should be the weakest friendly we have between now and the qualifiers . The Danes in Copenhagen would be good opposition . If the draw favoured us and we didn't start our WC campaign until Sept , then a match against the French would be a nice culmination for the friendly matches . However if we have a seven team group this would be unlikely .Even if we don't go to Paris , I'm firmly fo the belief that we need to play a seeded team in one of our friendly matches . Lets be fair about things . We haven't faced one in any game since Spain in Japan
