Only one I know of so far:

    February 21 – Sligo Rovers v Dundalk – 7.45pm.

    Should be good

It will be like Rovers New versus Rovers old - Connor, Mansaram, Singh, Turner?, Burns?, Faz?, Hughsie? etc Maybe we should let them use the home dressing room for old times sake.....

    Interesting.

Will Rovers take advantage of this I wonder? Trip to Coolaney maybe?

Probably not. Seems as though the boat has already sailed on that one. And knowing our ill informed board they probably never knew about it.
Is there anyone else on here of the opinion that some of that money could be put to much better use in LOI. A training camp in Malaga/Moscow for a new stand in the showgrounds so we could actually play our matchs at home in Europe or that kind of money would be put to much more use at a club like Drogs, Cobh & Finn Harps who are takling debt. Sometimes a bit of common sense is needed by some people and the good of the league put first. Namely those in the FAI.

"The camp is located not too far from Malaga and the game against Esbjerg was made possible as they will also be involved in a training camp in the Malaga region at that time. They play in a strong league in Denmark and I've no doubt we'll face a tough test in our first game of the pre-season," he added.

The Rovers camp on Culleenamore is no distance from Malaga either.

If Harps are allowed stay up who's getting the boot down to the first division? Cork? unlikely.... doesn't bode well for Drogs.

Is there public transport back to Dublin from Sligo after games or does it require an over night stay?

Last bus leaves at 18.10, last train at 19.00.

Overnight stay, I'm afraid. Unless some of yous organise a minibus/car share.

Thanks for the info. I live in Dublin though so would be a bit more hassle for me to do a minibus/car share unfortunately. I'll probably wait and do an overnighter for one of the league games instead..

That game against Longford is not going ahead. They're pitch is not available on 10th Feb. Heard we supposed to have four home friendlies and thats why it wont be switched to showgrounds.

Thanks for that. Brianw82 already sent me a PM about that, I can definitely see me using it this season.

Is Sligo vs. Dundalk on the 21st February going ahead? It didn't appear on the FAI list of approved friendlies..
