A few interesting eL snippets in the Sunday Times today, for anyone who's interested. One is about a proposal which may be made to Premier Division clubs that next season be reduced to three rounds of games for some reason (I think to do with saving travel costs, which would make it the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, given how much money clubs will lose from having fewer home games and, more importantly, how many fewer fully-pro players the league would have as a result). Another article about GAA and soccer, featuring Drogheda keeper Gary Rogers. Also a bit about TV coverage of the eL - saying a special effort should be made to show live midweek games as they bring in twice the number of viewers as Sunday or Friday games do (used the example of the Cup semi - 88000 watched the first game on Sunday and 194000 watched the replay on Wednesday). It then also slated TV3 for showing a live game on a Sunday which clashes with Man Utd-Chelsea!
