"History of Dundalk FC" Launch Night

"The History of Dundalk FC-The First 100 Years".

After five years of intensive research Dundalk supporter Jim Murphy will
publish the most comprehensive history of any National League club this
    weekend.
His book, "The History of Dundalk FC - The First 100 Years" will be launched
this weekend with a local function in Oriel Park on Saturday, November 29
and a national launch in Dalymount Park on Monday, December 1 (8.00pm)

Jim Murphy is a life long Dundalk supporter and spent three years on the
club's Management Board (1997-2000), doubling up as Financial Controller
and Editor of the Match Day Programme.
Published by the author in hardback, and printed by Dundalgan Press, the
book contains almost 500 pages, over 200 photographs and comprehensive
    statistics.
It traces the origins and development of Association Football in Dundalk
from the early 1890s to 1914 before telling the year by year story of
Ireland's most successful provincial club until the end of the 2002-03
    season.
The national launch in Dalymount Park will be undertaken by Des Casey,
former FAI President and Vice President of UEFA, and many past Dundalk
players, managers and officials will be present.
Books will be on sale at Dalymount on Monday night from 8.pm.

As yet the book is not available in Easons but is available from www.historyofdundalkfc.com or in Carrolls Book Shops in Dundalk.
