    What Clubs SHOULD do

In my opinion they should change the layout of season tickets each season to ensure no one gets in with old ones..

Also the Pepsi tickets the kids get..I know for a fact people got into grounds with 2004 versions last year would it not kill the cluubs to check these tickets and make the dishonest ones pay?

Our season tickets clearly say 2009 on the front, also they are scanned at the gate so you couldnt get in with an old one.

Youths ones were black last season and pink this year, with a photo of the League Cup squad on the back

My ticket for 2009 has a bar code so I assume they'll be swiping them at the gates in Tallaght. Also 2009 is quite clear. Surely a fan that went to the trouble and bought a ticket at some stage wouldn't try and scam in?

I doubt may people get into grounds with season tickets from previous seasons. Who ever would let them in with those at turnstiles would be very amateur

    Agreed..

    Quite a bogus scenario too.

If you bought a ticket at some stage, it means you are a real supporter and probably known to other fans. The shame of being snared at the gate (more than likely by your own supporters doing the stiles) would surely put people off trying.

I know the tickets are scanned going into Terryland so there's no way it would work, and besides if you were a real fan why would you want to do this

seen it happen many times, honestly dunno how these people live with themselfs,
seen some old school tactics also in a few clubs, main gate opens fella sees his friend passing, calls him over, and in he goes, had issues with this last year and complained about it, next week even the players couldnt get in
Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.

Aren't clubs supposed to have measures to prevent this under licensing? Pats use individual tickets in a season book. Stopped using the card system about 4/5 years ago

If it's Ticketmaster involved then the barcodes are a standard feature from what I've seen at other clubs.

Bohs used a swipe card system for Memberships/ST's over the past few years - and the layout of each season's card was changed noticeably.

Unfortunately for some reason - they abandoned swiping the cards - and instead they used an old fella noting down the Member Number as they went through the stiles...
    Kom Igen, FCK...

Newstalk and Red FM line up line up line up ..... Fair play it has to be said, they're excellent.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
