For the last couple of years, eleven-a-side.com was the undisputed source for Irish soccer news, and their "across the water" coverage was fantastic.
Now, that site seems to have shifted to LOI only coverage, which is fine, but is useless to me as I can't really follow the league from Canada (I just follow the progress of Irish players in the UK).
It seems that http://soccerrepublic.eircom.net/ has taken eleven-a-side's place as the primary source for "Across the Water" coverage, and indeed, they even have an ad on eleven-a-side's page!
Does anybody know if this is a permanent situation of reduced coverage on eleven-a-side's part, or is this temporary?
Seems a bit shady that eleven-a-side would drop their across the water coverage altogether and give ad space to what should be their rivals at soccer republic!

Its a decent site. Not really going to tell you anything you dont know generally if you are a regular on soccernet and the like.
I will say one thing, fourfourtwo is a great magazine, even if some of the interviews are with people I have never heard of. By far the best soccer media we get here in my opinion.
I live in Canada too. I have Setanta, TLN and GOL TV. I get almost every game from Italy, Spain, England, Scotland, Germany, France, Mexico, USA, Argentina, Colombia, etc.You can follow the EPL from Canada, though?
The only time I've ever seen an Irish team play on television here was when Sunderland did a pre-season tour last summer.
Coverage of the League of Ireland is thankfully not subject to any international rights issues so www.rte.ie/sport provides a great opportunity to watch live LoI games and also provides on-demand access to Monday Night Soccer.
Also, as I'm currently based in New York, it is a joy to be able to switch over to the RTE analysis of the Champions League games online after having to suffer the extremely irritating Tommy Smyth (Louth's finest) commentating on ESPN.
