Hi SRFC,
I am just after reading that -so sorry for doubting you.I still dont see how we managed to sell that many last year.Does anybody know how many we have sold this year?
Over 800 season tickets-that's very good.
But I dont understand why the figures for our crowds are so low if we have that many season ticket holders.
Gate receipts were very poor though amounting to 194,000 compared to 234,000 the season before. Saying that season ticket sales werent great that season (the Rob McDonald factor) plus Rovers had a few cup games the same season in the Showgrounds. The MC at the AGM should announce how many were actually sold and break it down from there. Probably selling more than they ever did, handy present for Christmas.
A relative of mine was in the Galway Utd club office today and heard that this week alone the club sold 300 season tickets. That brings the total to around 550/600.I knew ppl would wait till just before the first home game but obviously last Friday's result had an effect on sales too(in case theres a bandwagon to jump on this year).
Shams season ticket sales are a credit to them, fair play.
The club sell alot of tickets to business'.It is their way of supporting and sponsoring the club. I know the club used to get a huge amount of business' buying them and then never using them, maybe go to one or two games in a year, and they give them to the employees to use as well. This was the case with alot of small business' in sligo. So the 800 figure doesn't seem too far fetched tbh. As i was involved with the club at one stage in the first division and i was baffled at the amount of season ticket sales to the amount of people you would then see at the games.
Shamrock Rovers season ticket sales now up to 2,500.
A record for the LOI?
Together with all our hearts.
'Speech mark'?! Tsk, it's like the wild west 'round here. It's really a matter of style, and since there's no foot.ie style sheet, either quotation mark is perfectly acceptable.
Rovers have done incredibly well to shift 2500 season tickets, I would think that is an LoI record.
