Think we could do ye a favour with S & F and Ballyheane, we need to win one more to be certain.
Cheers! Hopefully things will go our way from now on, ye should be fine but by all means beat them two teams!
Best of luck to ye for the rest of the season!

Yeah only that game GF, due to Chadwick cup semi finals. We would be playing our missed match against Snugboro only for they're already playing Ballina. We are looking for a friendly, and what with that and the race night on Friday you're as well make an appearance!

Oh yeah, its Snugboro and not Ballyheane

I'll be down alright anyway, maybe we could play Clew Bay in a friendly, they seem to be going well lately. Give me a game close to home for a change

I actually think we tried... I heard Johnny b saying they wouldn't play anyway last night at training. I think they'll get promoted the way they are going. Swinford would be a good team to play, suss them out for next year

I'd say it's probably because they were the only Super League Team drawn in round one.

    Snugboro 2 Ballina 4.
Good game with great goals scored. Ballina lad scored a cracker from about 35 yards out. best goal ive seen in a long time. all goals were of good quality. Ballina played some good football in the first half, 3 1 up at half time. Snugboro played alot better in the 2nd half but Ballina well deserving of the win. Hope they go on and win it. Be a tight finish though.

I wonder what critera you have to satisfy to start up a junior league and have it accepted by the FAI.

I'd say any of the boys involved in the Mayo League would explain whats required.

Thinking of setting up a rival league??! We could have the Mayo Junior Soccer equivilant of the Sky Sports & BBC Darts World Championships!!!

Just wondering if there would be a genuine interest in a alternative. Maybe a winter league that would be defined by its football rather than its facilities.

    Interesting idea.

How would a new winter league define itself by its football any differently then the current M.L. format?

Apparently the league have just issued a circular to the clubs with 101 demands for the coming season, I just think it could be the "straw..... for a few clubs. I just think we need to get back to basics with a league that promotes the game itself both in playing and promotional side of things. I think clubs have to have a press box for next year, this is a good example of a league thathas lost the plot.

You never know could be a runner I suppose, but you would need at least 10-12 clubs to want to break away. The facilities are there for most clubs and Im sure a few refs could easily be persauded.

personally i can't see how a winter league would be defined by its football with the weather that we get during the winter.the pitches would be in an awful state surely
