I havent seen the Mayo News but as far as the Connaught and the Western are concerned the coverage of the start of the league is woeful and non exsistant. Has Celtics games in the A league overshadowed the Super league?? Well so far yes. Each year the connaught does a decent piece on each club and the standings. This year nothing. Im certainly not holding my breath for anything in the advertiser as its coverage of soccer is a joke. Surley the A league and the Super can be given equal coverage?
What are other posters opinions on this( and just to state im not dissing the A league)

You`d hardly know it has begun.
As for that A-league, it`s mickey mouse stuff played by wannabees who are average in the extreme.Glorified junior soccer with a lot of travelling is all it is.

im not gonna diss the a league, but i do agree with you lads, the coverage has been very poor, i thought there might be something surley, in fairness to the mayonews they did have a page dedicated to the start of the sl, and gave us(fahy) a nice article. but as for the rest.... very poor

This is of course until Westport enter a team in it, then it is the most important league ever

. I wouldnt be holding my breath however as I think you need to have your own ground to enter it. As for the Super league coverage it is truely woefull.

Agree very poor coverage on the start of the SL. Nice to see what your thoughts are on the A league!!!! can you explain when you think its mickey mouse stuff???

Thats my opinion,no need for explanation.
Look at the standard of player who has jumped on the celtic bandwagon to clarify this.They are punching above their weight.

Its called ambition and progress. I have little wonder why you cant provide any explanation for your opinion because that would envolve the use of knowledge and fact as opposed to jealously and ignorance.

how can you say the a league is a mickey mouse league?? it's a stepping stone and of course you would have to be a cove to be saying such stupid stuff!! did mervue think it was a joke league last year?? look where they are now!! so are you saying you would prefer to be playing on pitches against erris and fahy and all these instead of the brandywell, showgrounds etc.?? thats the most stupidest comment i've ever seen on this is it that ye are jealous of castlebar celtic for going places and having ambitions?? if ye had ye'r own ground and a proper one ye would probably be thinking of it yourselves!!

Just my honest opinion...its a B league for people who wanna play in the LOI but aren't good enough to get paid.

Im sure the lads feel like better players playing in it but at the end of the day all the teams are reserve sides of LOI!

Super league is less travelling and not that far off it standard wise. Each to their own though...

Its called getting no change from westport and moving out.
You`ll be stuck in that no mans land of a league for years and it will break you in the process,come out of the clouds, the fai are using ye to ye in the west as a gimmick.

At the end of the day if ye played Westport tomorrow they would still give ye a good lesson in football. Compare player for player to see how far behind Westport ye still are in football.

Looks like Celtic are begining to think their above ML all of a sudden....you'd swear ye won the ML ten years in a row the way you go on!

Its not Celtics fault that the Connaught have dedicated there sports pages to them but Tom Kelly.

A few months ago everyone was wishing Celtic the best of luck and now all this **** about them being higher than the ML. they still have teams in the SL and premier. In my opinion its great to see a club from Mayo in the A league and hopefully they can do the same as Mervue in a few years. As for the 'average players' at least there giving it a go at the top and so far its not looking too bad from a Celtic point of you.

Im not associated with Celtic by the way but would like to see them do well and progress further in the LOI
