Santa Ponsa is it?
Mervue will be taking 24 players and 5/6 staff on the trip and club secretary Declan McDonnell acknowledged the lengths to which the squad have gone to to make this trip a possibilty.
"It's a credit to both the players and the coaching staff. Two-thirds of the cost of the training camp has been raised by the players and it's something you don't hear about at League of Ireland level. They're actually paying to go training and that's a credit to them and the mentality these players have. It's also a mark of the respect they have for the club, and for both Johnny and Mark (Herrick) in particular, that they're prepared to dig in to their own pockets for this trip."

Our players and staff paid half the cost to go on a training camp in Spain a few years back so it's not totally unheard of.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.
Knock?
Hope they're not going the day Bus Eireann are on strike!

They're going to Marbella, were due to play Pats there but Pats have cancelled their camp AFAIK.
"Billy Corgan, Smashing Pumpkins."
"Homer Simpson, smiling politely."
I bet the Pats players refused to pay their own way unlike Mervue!!![]()
just make sure no-one at bohs is hanging onto the money for you.![]()
League Specialists.
Mervue are playing some Swiss crowd on Friday. Great to see local amateur players giving something back to their local club. In the current economic climate. I couldn't see this being done at any other club
Are you mad!! A chance to go on the lash with the lads in Spain!! No surprise they dug deep.
credit where its due I wish we had a group of players like that in Cobh.
