Come down from the clouds lads! The only Irish with any hope of the team would be Given for definite, and MAYBE McGeady, but only maybe.

Is there anything more annoying on here than people writing FACT in capital letters after something that´s obviously just opinion and nothing to do with fact whatsoever? Twice on one page, just to cap it off.....

I know what you mean.

However, while not being pedantic and using the word 'FACT' (whether capitilised or not), one can say with a great deal of certainty that Given would be the only Irish player selected, with McGeady making the squad.

I agree, Given is the only one with a chance of making that hypothetical first team. (He´s be a definite in my opinion). It was just the FACT thing that annoyed me. I don´t mind these types of threads, they are a bit of harmless fun and I like picking elevens!
