The one in Piccadilly Circus, London has gone. Think that was the original store, and a real shame to see that go. HMV seem to have the monopoly for music stores which cant be healthy.

'Fascists dress in black and go round telling people what to do, where as priests.....'
HMV are taking over five branches anyway once their stock is gone/they go tits up. They'll be in Dundrum anyway, can't remember where else.
Are they completely gone in the UK, I have 200 squids in vouchers to use up!!!!!
you won't be leaving the house in 2009 Anto!
It's still only 20% off DVDs in the UK so I'm hoping for another fall before I buy the Wire series 5.
And thats only a fraction of what ive bought in there i did a really good serach around so i think i have every thing i want unless the sale goes to 50 or 60% then some other might tempt me
They are not taking vouchers now in any store ( bar a certain week near the start of dec not sure why )you have to join the list of creditors check the website there is some infor up there about it but i wouldnt hold out much hope for getting your money as people with vouchers are usually bottom of that list.
Balls, they are Virgin vouchers so I can probably use them elsewhere but my plan was to blow them on some toys in March when I'm back in Blighty.
They still have only 35% off in the Sligo store.

I did feel a little bit like that walking around but all the staff in the limerick store are being kept on when HMV take over so i didnt feel bad at all.
The Zavvi in Athlone shut down this week. I bought a few cheap PC games before this so I was happy enough. Their choice of music always disappointed me though - not wide enough for my taste.
Aon, dó, trí, bhí mé i mo luí, thit mé den leaba, he! he! he!
Anyone know if the Cork one is closed or taken over? I was there on New Year's day. It's very close to the HMV so it would be odd if they took it over.
Check out my new sports blog http://www.action81.com
is blanch still open, heading over there in the morning.
Ignore Max Power, he is no more, the future is Ron Burgundy. I'd love to be Ron Burgundy but they won't let me........
