Its a huge blow to the club and I hope it will bounce back.
It is going to be hard to generate intrest and revenue in an a league that does not start until May and ends in September or something like that.
how do we get to salthill devon, and tullamore town, what are they like does anyone know,
so its now offical, who staying, whos going lads, should be an interesting AGM

Lads, what the **** happened. This time last year you were on a high, looking forward to the Premier Division having just won the First Division Championship. Fast forward twelve months and your club can't obtain a senior League licence and even your 'A' licence is subject to financial conditions. How did you get a Premier Division licence twelve months ago and your in danger of not even getting an 'A' licence this year?
Its quite simple what happened. The club was ran into the ground by a incompetent chairman and committee.Despite been advised and warned of the serious financial position the club was in early in the season, this advice was ignored and the club kept spending money it didnt have.On top of this there was no fundraising done, all people were interested in was meetings after meetings whilst the club slid into financial ruin.
And today we see the result of it.
IMO we wont even qualify for an "A" league license as we dont have 2 cents to rub together.
SADDEST DAY IN THE CLUBS HISTORY AND WE ONLY HAVE OURSELVES TO BLAME FOR ALLOWING IT TO HAPPEN
I hope those FOCR'S are happy! They've got what they wanted!
Sad day.![]()

Equality for the rams:(
Very sorry to hear of what has happened in Cobh. Hope ye can make some form of opportunity of this disaster, get your house in order, and bounce back stronger than ever.

And what about all the people that supported the Chairman in the vote of no confidence earlier in the season. They made the man look like a "god" that time and now they are running for committee. If the get elected all they will be is yes men.
He did his best! What cabn ya do when the fai turn down an offer and then they go off and pump money into drogheda? why wouldnt they help us? Its a joke. How can you blame the chairman? Yes he spent the money to get us into the prem but then he comes up with a great sensible solution and the fai turn it down! It was ok i suppose until they put money into drogheda which has helped them get a licence!![]()

Take off the blinkers please. The FAI did not get ye into this mess, ye got yereselves into this mess.
You cant blame them just because they didnt bail ye out of it. Half a million is a lot of money to hand to a club thats just run itself into the ground, especially when the same people who did that are in charge.
On the Drogheda situation. I dont think they should help Drogheda BUT 25k is a long way from 500k.
Accept that the blame is ye're own or ye have no hope of moving on.
well the FOCR are happy, there were right, i hope they feel great knowing there right, wonder if the boycott on the club will continue, if it does forget about even existing in 12 month time,

i understand we got ourselves into this, there is more to the proposal being rejected and the FOCR are to blame for it, we could have got that deal dont in november, but with all the delays and legal proceedings, it got to close to the season and became a legal nightmare, that it was impossible to give it to us,

Today should have been a day which generated great excitement amongst Ramblers supporters with the licence being granted and now awaiting the fixtures to see who we'd be playing in the first home game of the season. Instead its quite the opposite and here we are with our noses just above water and continuing to agrue. Unbelievable honest to God. What's done is done and we need to forget it. I've said before that the pointing fingers and blame games need to stop if any progress is to be made at all. Micls is right in saying that we need to accept that the blame is our own and move on.

Sorry to see ye demoted lads. Hopefully ye will bounce back stronger than ever and we'll see ye back in the First Division next season.
Doubt it hoping for top half but will have to wait and see.Gough seems to be putting a decent team together but when Sporting and Shels have the squads they have they'd be challenging for the Premier title never mind the First!!! I'd be happy with a top 6 finish.
No use crying over what you should have done with regards to saving the club.
Now is the time to call an EGM and see what is needed to appeal.
Can I say there is more going on behinds the close doors that is not very nice that needed to be brought out in the open.
I think that you all need to meet the commette and see where you as a club failed and see if you can bring in new commette officers before it is too late.
Good luck
