I hate to say this but Cork as a sporting county is gradually descending into a complete farce. You have lads here fighting with a Soccer club going out of the league and you have Hurlers and maybe Gaelic Footballers going to go on strike because of sheer pig headness. What the hell are they putting in the water in Cork these days?

but they helped drogheda get a licence none the less! but didnt they say they wouldnt help us if it meant helping us get a licence? Or did i miss something? Am i one of a whole bunch that imagined that the fai woudnt help us?. I must be dreaming a nightmare so. And drogheda got help then!

I no that but what I am saying is: We asked for help after getting ourselves in a mess. And the FAI refused and I didn't really have a problem with that because they couldn't be seen to help one club get a licence and not the other but then they put money into Drogs . Which surely should mean they should help every club in trouble like? I'm just asking this question because they wouldn't help us for this reason but now they have gone and helped another club which is ludicrous after what they told us like!

I think MICLS original point is valid. There's a world of difference between putting 25K into a ground that you already own and 500K to buy a whooly new ground. Obviously they probably shouldn't have done either...
