The announcement is finished with the words "Without Any Sanction" - which would suggest it's a Premier License which has been attained

Don't like taking things as read, but I think we can take it as read that they meant Premier (as in, the licence they were looking for). It said there were no conditions attached.

    So we're now at -

    Premier Division clubs
    Bohs
    Bray
    Cork
    Drogheda
    Galway
    St Pat's
    Rovers

    Derry?
    Dundalk?
    Sligo?

    First Division clubs
    Athlone
    Limerick
    Mervue
    Shelbourne

    Cobh?
    Finn Harps?
    Longford?
    Monaghan?
    Sporting Fingal?
    UCD?
    Waterford?
    Wexford?

Edit - disregard if Woodquay's post is correct.

Boo fcuking hoo - I'm sure they'll really give a flying f*** about your letter!!

If the licensing was properly enforced word for word, how many clubs would get a premier license? 1 or 2? (we definitely wouldnt obviously !!)

Granted this is interesting but they could have made the whole process more exciting by drawing out the teams live on TV, alternating a Premier and a First Division team. A majot celebrity would have been on hand to generate even more excitement- Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh or the woman who announces the stops on the Luas and the whole event could have been finished with a song- Voncent Hoey singing 'Back in Black,' for instance? Monkey knife fights optional.

FAI definately missed a trick here.

On Longford's relegation, it could be as simple as not having a CPO this year. Though obviously there may be other reasons.
