The Club owes it to the supporters to be more open and honest to the supporters who have put huge efforts to raise funds for the club for the 2nd time in 6 mths. The MC in the past have from what I see operated from behind closed doors isolating alot of fans.Giving the armchair/Barstool fans more ammunation to add to the list of excuse as why not to the showgrounds.
I think it its now time the club be more vocal in its Day to Day business,get the public involved on daily happenings at the club either on a radio slot/web site as to what the club is doing in the community players visiting schools etc.Keep Rovers in the Hearts and minds of the people on the positive aspects of the work been done by the club.At the moment Sligo Rovers is like an episode of Eastenders all dome & gloom because thats all the club allows us to hear outside the normal rumour mill.We need to get more positive vibes from the club and need in to be in our faces as much as the negastive of the last two weeks were! Dermot as PRO "This is up to You"! Also is it Keith our CPO which is a paid position to get the "Positive" aspect of the club into Public domain.The hard core of fans don't need convincing the "Rovers" are good for Sligo its the sunshine/armchair/barstool fans that need to be convince on the club win them over and success will come!
