    Athlone, Sligo and One or Two

    other clubs still having a problem with their Budgets and Licencing issues according to todays Star. The Fixtures are due out next week how can they if clubs are still not sorted.

    The license are out Feb 16th I think an the appeals committee meets within 2/3 days of that

    the headline was "clubs to face 40 point deduction" when in fact it should have read fai to close gate after horse has bolted or as me mammy youse to say dont do that again.

    It was only mentioned at the end of the article as a sort of throwaway piece of information. It said Athlone, Sligo Rovers and "possibly one or two other clubs" were still working through their outstanding issues with the Licencing Department, it didn't read as though the writer saw it as an insurmountable problem for them.
    Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

    If you owe €20k in wages from last season it is. The worst thing is clubs that are trying to pay their debts might not get a licence while Cork and Drogs expect to get Premier Licences.

    Well what I meant was that the tone of the article and the way it was kind of tacked on at the end didn't suggest that the journalist felt they'd be in serious trouble but maybe that was the sub editor cutting it down or something. I wasn't suggesting they weren't difficult to overcome in my own opinion.
