    thats irish i apologise, but i dont understand whats written on keanes armband...no seriouslly always thought it was in english?!

    And they say the language is dead. Big thanks to Croke Park/GAA for giving the "end of match positions" notice as gaeilge, made all the difference.

    A bit off the football point here but.......the Irish language was dead the day they tried teaching it in the schools. I learned it for 15 years and still can barely speak a word of it. Mind you I always did excellent in my Irish exams. How does it happen that you can read and understand it but can't speak it? Hopefully times have changed but teachers back in the day did Irish a big disservice.
