Good signing, I guess. He's been solid at centre half for UCD for a while. Started last season in centre midfield, where he played when he was younger. He looked off the pace there, and never seemed to get back to his best form after he went back to centre half. That said, it was hard for anyone in our team (the keeper excepted) to shine last year.
You can't spell failure without FAI
What would they pay Mooney with? The entire weekly budget isn't even his wage from Reading.
It's absolute sh!te tbh...
Don't know why this thread is in the main section tbh..

DEVO: 'we want to challenge for the league next season' - speaking at the player of the year awards nite 2005. boy was he so far wrong!!
I suppose players dot have too many options at the moment and a jb is a job in the current climate.
Hughes would be great as would be baker . I fully expect to see a lot of familar faces next season. I like Matthews interviews to date, all about needing players who need to prove something etc - setting the bar and tone of the team from the off, rather than giving interviews about all the hurdles ahead (Doolins greatest asset - excuse making).
Are drogs the new UCD fans when it comes to Doolinwhat a strange world.
In wouldn't go that far... He had a slow start for us but did improve as the season went on. I think some of his best preformances for us came when he was used as emergency centre half !
Surprised that no other club has come in for Adam Hughes, very good player and probably deserves to be in a better side, would take him at bray in a heart beat. Himself and Mulcahy in the centre of the park would be a lovely little combo
