Much as it pains me, but hats off to Sheffield Wednesday!!

In these financially tight times nice to see some humanity prevails in the normally selfish football world

For a club deep in debt, with talk of administration, seems a strange decision to me but you can't deny the humanity of the decision.
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.
Presumably it's done with the intention of raising good-will capital, which in turn might lead to increased local sponsorship and maybe bigger crowds, as Wednesday strive to be seen as very much a community-club.
Question is though - would an owl in the hand be worth two in the bush?

Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
shut up you g-owls.
People seem to have bees in their bonnets about making honeyed puns in this thread.
Although that said, some of them have been fairly owlful.
Anyone else think there's something a bit fishy about Pike?
