Bookmakers have slashed odds on Everton right-back Seamus Coleman joining Manchester United before Tuesday's transfer deadline.

The Republic of Ireland defender is 1/3 to join United on the bookies' chalkboards, which is the shortest priced transfer of anyone moving today. United insist they are not expecting any late business in the winter window.

Former United managers David Moyes was set to target Coleman, 28, before he was sacked and Louis van Gaal expressed an interest in signing the international during his first year in charge of United but eventually settled on Matteo Darmian, having also considered England international Nathaniel Clyne.

Coleman equalises in the 39th minute for Everton away to Stoke. It's 1-1 approaching half time.

Another one for Seamus Goalman although it sounds like it was a bit of a messed up cross that may or may not have been an own goal or an offside goal. Will probably get to see it during the half time break...can't wait!

So he got the ball in the box on the right hand side, cut in on his left foot and hit a weak one that was aimed for the far post. Shawcross stuck out a body part and it deflected off him into the net. Was called offside as they though Lukaku had got the last touch (and it looked that way on de telly) but was correctly given in the end.

On another note, I think it was Glenn Whelan who pumped a long pass forward to Arnautovic who set up Crouch. Was a great pass if it was him. Aimless hoof if it wasn't.

I think Seamus is a bit unlucky there with it being given as an own goal, I think it was probably on it's way in anyway.

Hard to be certain though.


Also looked like a shot to me more than a across but the sensible thing is to aim you cross inside the post.
