I don't think anybody would understand, Paul. I'm not entirely sure you do either.

Its pretty straightforward really. In the south and Midwest there were huge settlements of "scots-irish" a lot of the bluegrass has its origins from these people in fact, anyway its those who moved from ireland who are of Scottish descent mainly presbyterian and Methodists.

Yes, the Ulster scots who moved to America were closer to "British-Irish" than most emigrants from here.

edit: ah, that's the point you were making. I misread, sorry Paul

I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Seamus Coleman has made the official website of the Premier League's team of the week 5 times this season. It will be interesting to see if he reaches double figures. Phenomenal stuff.

Robbie Brady also figured twice before his injury woes started disrupting his season.
They have him at left back for week 16, pretty sure he has never played there fro Everton.

"GOAL! Seamus Coleman fires Everton into the lead! The full-back cuts inside of Luke Shaw, striding into the area, before lashing his strike into the top corner away from the flailing arms of Kelvin Davis. Superb play from Coleman. 1-0 Everton."

That goal was another utter corker. He made the great white hope of English full-backs look an absolute fool. Then, he goes and fires it into the top corner. Another individual cracker.

This is getting too good to be true. He needs a consultation with Gareth Bale's strength coach and we'll have our own Bale on our hands.

"That's where Everton have had their most joy so far this half - down the right through Coleman as Shaw is yet to get to grips with him."

A pity we didn't have contemporary minded, intelligent motivators like Martinez managing our national team when Coleman was being left out of the team and then told not to cross the halfway line when he did break through.

Amazing to think that he went two seasons without scoring a League goal and now has broken his record tally for League goals scored in a season.

Pity that Ireland aren't playing competitively until September!

Just tuning in to NBC television in America and the half time commentary team (featured game is Newcastle v Arsenal) have just spent 2 minutes speaking about and singing the praises of Coleman. Calling him the best buy ($50,000 from Sligo Rovers in 2009) in Premier League history if I'm not mistaken. Lauding David Moyes also for a great bit of business.

    He's now Everton's second-highest scorer after Lukaku.

Lukaku has just scored after an assist from our own James McCarthy.

I was about to add to that "and Lukaku doesn't look likely to extend his lead any time soon." Luckily I didn't.
