Was it an ankle that kept him out of Gibraltar game or was it hamstring?

Martinez positive about the outlook (then again, when isn't he?!)

I don't think it looks as bad as we feared once it happened but we'll get more information as the week goes on and we'll see how long a period we're looking at for the two players.

Coleman is recovering well and might be back in action either this weekend or next Tuesday: http://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/2015/...t-for-ireland/

But speaking on Thursday, Everton manager Martinez said: "We have had positive news. I think it is the least we expected in terms of soft tissue problems.

Midfielder Muhamed Besic picked up a similar injury and Martinez added: "Both injuries are in the hamstring and both are reacting really well to treatment.

"It is difficult to tell how long it is going to take for them to get back, but I think both have got a chance to be involved at the weekend or maybe in the League Cup (when Everton face Reading away on Tuesday).

"I wouldn't rule any of the two out for the next game."

Still out. I hope this isn't going to be one of these career niggling injuries where he misses more games than he plays. Not a huge amount of recovery time to the two big games.
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.

Back in full training but might not make it for Sunday. He will be travelling over though regardless of what Everton say.

Martinez - “Seamus is probably the most serious of the three. He has pulled his calf and that type of injury usually takes three or four weeks to fully recover.”

That occurred to me about McCarthy as well actually. As long as they remain fit when they do return the break could definitely benefit them come the summer you would think.

Its a good goal and not the type that you would expect Stoke to concede too easily. Tony Pulis would have a few words to say. Good movement by Everton though.

Pretty disappointed in Colemans "performance" to be honest. His wife had a daughter last night. Not a son. Not good for Ireland.

A birth that was waiting (9 months) to happen apparently.

    Congrats Seamie!

Playing wing back today, not overly involved so far.

Edit- not for long, two dumb yellow cards for Mirallas has forced Everton into a change of shape. Stones seems to have gone right back with Coleman ahead of him.

i say on sky sports Coleman seemed to be on the wing with 3 at the back in a 3 5 2.
Anyhow Everton lost as is typical of them.
