Im not sure if that was down to fitness? He played pretty badly against City and was the main fault for the second goal.

Interesting to note that Phil Neville sat this one out with a knee problem. Moyes started with Hibbert at right back instead of Coleman. Moyes clearly still doesn't trust his defensive skills yet. Really disappointing as personally I see him as a potential top class right back. I don't think he will reach anywhere near the same heights as a right midfielder. With Anichebe and Osman close to returning to full fitness, and with Fellaini back now after suspension, it is hard to see him starting regularly at right wing.

Not the most insightful article to be honest, but it concentrates on Coleman.

Seems to be having a good game.
Everton have just equalised, commentator said Coleman got assist but he was wrong, good result if it stays 1-1.

It was a cross from Baines, headed back across goal by Cahill and finished by Beckford with a close range header
I think Coleman was standing behind Cahill when he headed it

Just saw MoTD. He took Ashley Cole out from behind for a certain penno in my opinion.

Speaking of pennos, I thought the Howard / Anelka incident was really similar to Shay and van Nistelrooy in 2001. I don't think it was a penalty but 99 refs out of 100 would give it. In my opinion Anelka, having knocked the ball wide of Howard had to run one side or the other. Instaed he ran straight and clattered into Howard who was just standing his ground. Anyone agree?

Totally. Howard couldn't have gotten out of the way if he wanted to.

He's done that a few times this season, no doubt encouraged by the fact he keeps getting away with it

100% Wasn't there a similar incident in the home leg of the France playoff featuring Shay and Anelka? (no penalty given)

I don't think there was any contact with Given.

I think it was geysir who said a few pages ago that Coleman is a "lucky" player. He certainly seems to be that, and long may it continue. At the same time, the ball in was too far behind Cole for him to make contact anyway and it would have been harsh for Everton to lose the game on account of two off-the-ball collisions.

Post of the month so far. Who else is getting luck? Short list I'm afraid.

I love it when they get it so massively wrong.
With England lacking in quality in the right-back position, if Coleman pushes on he could be challenging for a regular place in the England team, sooner rather than later.

As for such a comment you can place it were the ventriloquist places his gesticulations.

Anyways, glad to see Seamie get a some recognition for his wonderful performances in November. Still probably not enough to get a run out in a drab friendly! I mean we Irish we have such abundance of talent in the Premiership.

Delighted to see him bounce back after not getting a run out with Ireland, dropped for a game and all the while playing out of position.

As was noted earlier on this tread that 'Trapp was right about this guy?' Methinks not.
